Aaron-Louis Cadogan in SPEAK. at The Cockpit Theatre

Fresh of his tour of To Be Continued, Aaron-Louis Cadogan will be playing the role of Luke in SPEAK. from Multistory Productions at The Cockpit Theatre.

Speak. is an electric piece of semi autobiographical new writing that weaves dramatic narrative storytelling with spoken word and live music to create an engaging and eye-opening account of what can happen when we find ourselves unable to speak. It’s a play about little victories and learning to find your voice. It showcases how difficult life can become when you aren’t able to talk, but how you can get by with the love of those around you.

The story focuses on Conor Reeve, a spoken-word artist, who, following a traumatic event, finds himself unable to use his voice. As he embarks on a journey of speech therapy, his flatmate Luke tries his best to support him, while his mum attempts to heal him through alternative medicine. Through this process, Conor continues to write poetry, using it to release his pent-up frustration about his lack of a voice. A play about the importance of close male friendships and the necessity of mental health support.
