Huw Brentnall joins the cast of “A Man for All Seasons”

Fresh off his summer tour of Hamlet, Huw Brentnall is joining the cast of A Man for All Seasons, alongside Martin Shaw (Sir Thomas More), Gary Wilmot (The Common Man), Edward Bennet (Thomas Cromwell), Abigail Cruttenden (Alice More), and Nicholas Day (Cardinal Wolsey).

The greatest, most powerful and dangerous figures who shaped English history are brought vividly to life in Robert Bolt’s award-winning play.

Martin Shaw stars as Sir Thomas More; scholar, ambassador, Lord Chancellor and friend to King Henry VIII. Above all, he is a man of integrity, loved by the common people and his own family.

When Henry demands a divorce from Catherine of Aragon, clearing the way for him to marry Anne Boleyn, the staunchly Catholic Thomas is forced to choose between his loyalty and his own conscience, committing an incredible act of defiance for which he eventually pays the ultimate price…

The production starts at Theatre Royal Bath, playing from the 16th to 25th of  January 2025, and then tours to Chichester Festival Theatre, Malvern Theatre, Cheltenham Everyman, Oxford Playhouse, Yvonne Arnaud Guildford, Canterbury Marlowe, and London Richmond Theatre.
